 French bread
If you like french bread, good coffee and European atmosphere this place for you. The service is great. The menu have a different kind of bread, sandwiches and bagels. Cream soup is really really delicious. I totally recommend this place if you are boring of European delicate food.

 Amazing!!
A group of us stopped by here for breakfast (as recommended by a local resident), the food was amazing and the staff very friendly, helpful and patient - even with our poor attempt at speaking ‘Spanglish’ when ordering. I would definitely recommend a visit if you’re looking for high quality coffee and food. The service couldn’t have been better.

French restaurant in Cancun? Most definitely!
There are so many things I love about this place! The food and coffee are great! Service was lovely. And most importantly, as other reviewers have noted, it's a bit off the beaten path, away from the touristy craziness that is Cancun. When we had a leisurely and delicious breakfast there were no other tourists (that we could see). If you have a rental car parking is super easy and free (street parking in a safe neighborhood), or just take a taxi/uber.

Away from the touristic hysteria of Cancun, a great place to break fast, lunch or just enjoy
I go back all the time. Sometimes for the baguettes, sometimes for a croque monsieur, sometimes for the coffee and a pastry. The food is filling, the chatting is non stop so I usually plan late morning. I do not think I have ever had a mediocre experience at this location or the one over by Cumbres (the atmosphere is much better in Xpuhil)

 Favorite spot
This is my favorite spot to have lunch or breakfast. Nearly close to Belgian food, but still very good. I tried the Flemish famous dish Vol at Vent with French fries and mayo. Okay, but no Flemish enough for me. Sauce to fluid and not the real bechamel taste. I presume a Mexican twist to it. Never the less...great foodies if you got homesick for European dishes

 Worth a visit
My boyfriend and I visited this cafe on our last full day in Cancun. I was hoping to have a decent mocha since I wasn't overly impressed with my Starbucks experience. This place did not disappoint. Our Spanish is not great and our waiter let us know he wasn't great at English as well. It really wasn't a problem and the wait staff are pleasant. It's a beautiful spot and popular. We had the spinach omelette and fresh fruit. Completely different from all the wonderful local food we had been enjoying. I recommend a visit here and should we return to Cancun I would go again myself!

Legit, legit, legit flaky-crust-outside-soft-&-chewy inside croissant!!!Scrumdiddlyumptious! The coffee wasn't too shabby, either.Café Antoinette is famous for their macaroons, also, and for good reason. They have two locations. So if you're staying at the new Hampton Inn, you are a few steps from the second store.Just go and order something!!! You're welcome...

French-European pastries and atmosphere, great breakfast and brunch combos
Our favorite place for breakfast and take-aways.. great place to meet with friend, sit either outside overlooking Superama parking lot or freezing inside on the limited number of tables.. crowded at any time of the day.. but always worth a visit. The European pastries, cakes, petit fours as well aster coffee specialties make it a savory experience and we come there almost every day for either take-away items or fora quick breakfast. Although in the high end of the price scale you always get what you pay for and all baguettes and sandwiches, egg dishes and smoothies are of great quality and made à la minute. A must-be-place and all time favorite for Europeans and locals alike.

 Very nice cafe
I had walked from hotel Ibis to try out this cafe one morning for breakfast. It was literally 5 minutes walk away. The cafe is very clean, the waiters and waitresses are very attentive, some do speak English which was very helpful for me. I ordered one of their sandwiches and got a few pastries to go and everything tasted fresh. Definitely would recommend and would visit again.

 Tasty breakfast
I went there for breakfast the other day. It's a beautiful French place in the middle of Cancun. I didn't get one of their proper breakfasts, but a baguette and a Americano coffee. Both very good. It's hard to find good bread in Cancun but this place definitely offers it! If you miss European bread or just want to sit down with a cup of coffee and relax in an enjoyable atmosphere, come here. The only downside is the location, a bit far away from the city center. You can walk there from Plaza Las Americas.

Best boulangerie in Cancun and perhaps one of the best in the country...
Very good bread, very well finished patisserie. Great enviroment alsoThe quality of a good boulangerie in France but the prices of France also. I have been in Maison Kayser and I am pretty sure that they can beat them in flavor/ quality of the bread. The staff is friendly but need more training. My only bad comment is that I couldn´t obtain my electronic invoice for fiscal purposes. I asked several time and they simply they can´t invoice after 24 hours. I think that some kind of stuff can´t wait any longer because is for a client benefit.

Ok, I am French and I am living in Mexico since 2 years. I can say that yes, they successfully made a great french café in cancun. If you need to cross the ocean, to reach France just taste the excellent croissants, or quiche there, it's simply délicieux! The decoration also is really the same than a french bistrot... amazing!!!

 Amazing discovery!
We drove past the restaurant and was attracted to it immediately based on the curb appeal. Completely unlike what you find in Cancun. We have since visited several times, for breakfast, lunch and after dinner drinks/dessert. Excellent service with friendly staff. The pastries and breads are a nice break from the traditional local fare (which we do like). Beautiful setting. Recommend sitting outside as the main/back room can be very loud with children. But if it's too hot, one of the three tables by the counter as you walk in are okay as well. Having been to Paris within the last year, no, this isn't the same. But it's really, really nice and they come close. We now visit this restaurant every time we come to Cancun, which is 5-6 times a year.

Nice cafe, service let down a little
Visited on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. It was quiet and the server told us it's usually busy 9-11. Extensive menu, not too expensive. Good coffee and delicious good sized portions. My boyfriend enjoyed eggs and I had tartine with Brie and goats cheese. Friendly service although a little slow - our server forgot to bring us cutlery and the food was getting cold, then finally after having to ask twice, she brought us the salsa requested when my boyfriend had almost finished his meal.

 Lovely Neighborhood Cafe
Found this lovely breakfast spot quite by chance on our first morning in Mexico after browsing for an alternative to the hotel. Just a 5-minute walk away it was like a little corner of France in Cancun. Sampled the brioche, fruit salad and a pain chocolat. There was also a good range of other items to choose from. We were there on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but we did not have to wait for a table. (However, by the time we left, there was a line.) Thought the quality of the food was very good. Has a delightful patio area offering shade and a relaxed atmosphere. If you are in the area and like French bread and pastries, give it a try.

 Good Bread, nice breakfast place
Good location, good bread and croissants, when it is christmas or epiphany they have special cakes, which are usually very good. I don't like their sandwiches, but it is personal taste, they are a bit greasy.Coffee is very nice and fresh :)Only downside is that it is often full and noisy, owners should invest in a larger shop :) !!Perfect place for breakfast !! :)

 Good food and Service
We're locals in Cancun since a year and we're glad to be able to find some good viennoiseries, baguettes, and cakes.... :) It's a real french bakery, and they do special cakes for special events: Yule log for christmas, King Cake for Epiphanie.... Really cool and good. Their coffee and breakfast are also very nice. Recommend it !

 Nice place, too noisy
I love the place but really have to choose a time when the restaurant is almost empty or sit at the terrace

Been going here since the day they first opened.
We live here in Cancun and live just around the corner from this Gem of a restaurant. We go here at least once a week if not more. The food and atmosphere are always excellent and consistent with zero complaints. I must say though during the last several months the service has gone down and after leaving a negative review on the tablet they leave when delivering the check I was contacted by phone the next day.I explained my reason behind the review I wrote with what I thought to be the problem. It boils down to two past managers who obviously weren't managing effectively. Not leaders nor gave a true interest in this spectacular restaurant. The reality is some people take their job for granted and over time show up to work to collect their paycheck. This is not a place you can get away with this sort of behavior.Yesterday October 4th. 2015 I went to Café Antoinette to confirm what the gentleman had explained to me on the phone. They said the previous manager had been relieved of duty (fired) and that the service should quickly return to what we experienced from the day the restaurant opened. As I entered the restaurant I was greeted by Miguel who is now the new manager. It is clear after speaking with Miguel for a few minutes he comes with a ton of experience not just here in Cancun but also in Europe (Big hotels and we'll known restaurants) I have no doubt he will return the service back to where it was on day one. Thank you Miguel for assuring me things will improve on the service side. Everything else is excellent so don't change it :) We love Café Antoinette

 Nice atmosphere andvery good service
We enjoyed our breakfast here although at the same time we weren't super wowed by the breads nor the coffee. I did like their green juice for 28 pesos and the service was very good. I like their setup so that you can just get breads to go or at another counter get your coffee, juices etc. Or lots of sit down in and out. It is a bit hard to find. It happens to be on a route that I take often through the city so that's how I spotted it. Don't think I'll be rushing back to eat there again but sometime in the future I probably will.

 Half amazing, half bland
1) the almond crossant is TO DIE FOR.... O.M.G.2) my chai frappe (with a bit coffee) was ON POINT3) FRENCH TOAST preferred it more soft (wet with milk), also it didnt come with meat or eggs which I disliked4) the server forgot the cheese to my scram eggs...rendering them tasteless5) macooron was tasty...but pricey if I recall

 disapointing
For those who really know France, they will be disapointed. Others will like it. Cofee is just regular. Not a lot of choice, i tried some deserts and they are not so godd as original but more expensive than in Paris...

 Good food, bad service
Food and menu choices are really good, coffee not bad at all, great bread. Yet service is awful, forgetful waiters that needed to be reminded to bring us silverware or our order and still messed it all up. Awkward first experience. If not fixed by now I do not recommend this place.

 Nothing special
We are french and are used to much better quality. The sandwiches aren't good, only drinks and desserts are ok. Can't recommend this place. I waited 20 minutes for a strawberry tart which no one brought me, when I ask where it was they brought it to me with absolutely no excuse. We won't come back!

It is evident the owner is absent
The service is beyond abysmal, and the food, while perfectly fine, is slow to come and the waiters behave as though the patrons are invisible, chatting among themselves while the customers are waiving their arms trying to get their attention. The coffee is over priced and akin to brown sock water (refills will cost you extra). The fact that the owner is absent is very evident, and it;s too bad, because this place would be great if the service were not so poor.

The place is awesome, the food has become really poor in all terms...
I have been visiting this place lately, I love the atmosphere, decoration, music, the possibility to be sitting outside is awesome... I have been also disappointed by the quality... the other day I had a strawberry - banana milkshake, wow, so bad... it seems to me it is just a powder with artificial flavor that they just mix together.. .Very artificial flavor... Yesterday, I had a 3 cheese baguette with spinach and nuts... the baguette size was not the standard, plus SUPER hard as it was almost too toasted and inside... wow "so poor" just 2 little leafs of spinach and just a couple of tinny pieces of cheese (mix of goat and brie)... really not good! I also have to say it is quite expensive...

 Terrible service
Terrible service, waiters are not attentive and keep messing up the orders. Spent 30 minutes trying to waive one down to get our bill. I think its a terrible management.

I won't recommend it to anyone
I just arrived at Playa del Carmen, from Cozumel. I was quite hungry so I saw this Cafe at the exit of the Ferry. I realized that they sign a French taste so I enter and asked for a latte and a sandwich. The latte tasted a warm milk "painted" with coffee. Terrible!!! I told the BARISTA about it and he said that if I need more expresso it would be $8 pesos extra pay. I told him that tha latte tasted a milk and he only answer that the manange a different "style of cousine" Please latte is latte in Amsterdam, Paris, NY, every where. And that sandwich was very grassy.Dont waste your $ in this place
