Favorite lunch place!
Been here many times while staying at Presidente in May 2015.Everything we had was so yummy!Lunch for two was around 10 to 15$.Homemade tacos is so fulfilling and three tacos are more than enough for my husband.You can order one tacos each, like one fish taco, one pork taco and one beef taco. I also love torta which is Mexican sandwich.My favorite are ground beef tacos, sausage&potato tacos and pibil pork torta ( pork in tomato stew, avocado and cheese sandwich).Don't forget order fresh squeezed orange juice!Highly recommended!

Made you feel like family
I am late with my review but we ate here many times during our stay in February of 2014. We will be going back to Cancun in Feb. 2015 and hope to eat there again. Mario was such a wonderful person and he was working for his friend who owns this special restaurant. He made our days and we were unable to say goodbye to him on our last day. He was gone that day. The food was so good and they hand make the tortillas as you order so they are fresh. All the food was very good and inexpensive, we fed 4 people for $12.00. It is right across the street from The Presidente and by the Grocery store.

Homemade and wonderful
We LOVE the tostados made with chicken or beef tinga. The flan is good too. It's always freshly made. This is the first place we go when arriving in Mexico. We rent a condo, but eat here for lunch almost everyday we are in Mexico. We can't wait to go back. Very reasonable price. Stay away from the tourist places that claim to have real Mexican food. El Comalito is like "Grandma's Mexican cooking" and grandma has some outstanding recipes. You'll note local people eat here for a good reason!

Amazing Mexican food
My fiancé and I found this little restaurant while staying at an all inclusive resort in cancun. We went there almost everyday after that for authentic Mexican food like tostadas, soft taco and enchiladas. There pico and condiments were perfect. I am a professional Chef and was truly impressed at there food. O and it is soooo inexpensive. $15 for 2 ppl and you are stuffed. Byob as well.

My favourite place to go!

The staff are very friendly, the food is authentic and reasonably priced. I go so often that they know my order and start it as soon as they see me walking towards them. Some people get paranoid about eating at small establishments like this but I have never gotten sick. The staff are also great at recommending items for new comers. Last night I took some friends to El Comalito Inn who had never been before and everyone loved it! Ricky Ricardo took great care of us and now has 4 additional repeat customers because of it.

Perfect!
This is a great find! The food is excellent, service is better than most of the places we've went, and Ricky, the owner, is a very fun host. I could not recommend this place more. My wife and I went out and about looking for a place to eat where the locals would eat. We were staying at the Intercontinental Presidente and ventured out from there. Rickey was working on some decorations and told us to come back at 6 pm when they open. So,we did,and that was a great thing. We liked the service so much that that alone would have been enough to bring our friends back to visit his establishment. But the food... Wow! The fish was absolutely great! Fresh tortillas, great salsas, excellent drinks, and the other items were out of this world. My friends all loved the experience and the food. This is a great find and a fun, affordable place to enjoy an evening of dining in a local environment.

Newly renovated and expended! I already was making sure I'd eat here every time I'm in cancun! They serve real authentic Mexican food! Everything I've tried is delicious! They have breakfasts and are also open late at night for drinks and late night tacos! It's a cantina so if you're looking for a romantic dinner this probably isn't the place! But if you're looking to find affordable real Mexican food, This is the place you need to visit!

I really enjoyed this little spot. Finding it was a happy accident since it was the pizza place near by that I went to try. Lucky for me they weren't open or else I would not have tried this place. It's tiny and only has outdoor seating but this was not a problem for me or my boyfriend. We liked the food so much we went back another time. Don't miss out!

Ricky Ricardo was our wonderful waiter. The food was amazing and señor Ricardo's presentation was the cherry on top. Ricardo encouraged us to speak Spanish even though neither my girlfriend nor I are fluent (but it was fun getting to practice). Genuinely nice staff and genuinely authentic (and delicious) food..! Definitely stop by if you get the chance, the atmosphere is a little noisy since it's right on the road, but it's more than worth it!

The food at this place was amazing for the price. El Comalito was about two blocks from where we were staying so we went there about four times during our one week stay and had different things every single time. The food was tasty and the tortillas were fresh made. Jesus the server was attentive and friendly every time we were there and made sure to keep us updated on the progress of our food when it was busy. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you want good food for a reasonable price.

This humble restaurant was across the street from my hotel Kin Ha Beachscape. We walked over for some food in the mid afternoon, partly as a way to just get out of the normal sit down restaurant routine. There are only a few plastic tables, right on the main road, so it is hard to talk, but the food is fresh, delicious, and cheap! Recommended so long as you understand that the food is the treat, not the experience.

We had the breakfast eggs, rice and beans and coffee as well as the Nachos. All fresh and delicious. Tortillas were handmade. The Mexican coffee was excellent. I seriously just had one of the best meals I've ever had. Came here for breakfast. My huevos rancheros were perfect with a touch of heat that my horchata balanced perfectly. My husband ordered their breakfast special and an egg and chorizo torta. We both left full and happy. Only con is the noisy road right next to the tables but the food definitely makes up for it. We will be back!

My friend and I were stopped by Jesus as we were walking into town just to say hi and invite us to eat when we were done with our shopping. We were so glad me made the stop! The food was awesome and very filling for a low cost. It was slower so Jesus made a point to talk to us and even gave us tips on where to go in town. We left full and happy. We were staying at an all inclusive and still were tempted to go back for another meal. If you have the time make this a place to try.

Delicious tacos!
We had the arrachera, chorizo and potatoe and tinga de pollo tacos and they were the best we've had in Mexico! The meat was well seasoned as were the salsas that came with the tacos, the tortillas were handmade and the food was extremely cheap for the area! Our server was also very friendly so we really enjoyed visiting this place a second time! Would definitely recommend :)

Stayed in the presidente intercontinental. This place is very close and outstanding. Jesus runs a great little place and has great food. Delicious and inexpensive. The chicken soup and tacos were super flavorful. It so good you'll eat too much.

We've eaten here for over several years and now seems to be on the decline. We went for breakfast and no pancakes, the chilequiles were blah. Maybe a different cook. We we still come back and try, it's very affordable and 1 block away from the presidente and beachscape kin ha hotels.

We've eaten here for over several years and now seems to be on the decline. We went for breakfast and no pancakes, the chilequiles were blah. Maybe a different cook. We we still come back and try, it's very affordable and 1 block away from the presidente and beachscape kin ha hotels.
