 Best restaurant of the trip!!
My family and I stayed about 45 minutes away--but it was well worth it!!! 8 people to try each other's dishes. We had excellent service from Eddie, the son, chef Peter visited our table, and Claudia, the mom, was just as delightful. We had the soups, mushroom ravioli, salads, salmon, but the best of the night was the pork in the 3 chili sauces, and the duck. Dessert was amazing...basically---everything is AWESOME!!! Leave the hotel zone and GO-GO-GO!!!!

My husband and I booked a reservation at Peter's after all the reviews we read. We were not disappointed. After being greeted by the friendly front of house staff, Chef Peter came out to our table and asked if we had any questions about the menu. The meal he prepared for us was excellent. We enjoyed the coconut, lemon grass and ginger soup; this is a MUST! Then we moved on to the mushroom filled raviolis. The sauce was absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we enjoyed the Hog Fish and Tamarind Pork Ribs. Everything was prepared to perfection and seasoned well. My husband insisted we order dessert because of the reviews. Take my word for it, order the key lime pie. We also enjoyed the "chef's coffee". Again, trust me, ask about it. Chef Peter is an internationally class act. Don't miss out on this gem of a dining experience.

 Excellent for couples!
Where to start?? This has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Cancun! A very european setting with a great selection of Wines and spirits. I love the combination of European and Mexican cuisine. My favourite is dish has got to be the brisket. So tender yet full of flavour, the prices aren't too bad either! The venue is small so please make sure you reserve a table. Before I forget to mention as you are having dinner chef makes his way around the tables to make sure that you are enjoying your meal and to check to see if you need anything else. The service also is impeccable with English and Spanish menus so you don't confuse yourself trying to decipher what the menu has to offer. the last thing I would like to add is that the Tequila Sunrise key lime pie is out of this world, so good it will give you a buzz ;)!

 Worth every star ⭐️ of the five I've given
We found Peters restaurant through TripAdvisor whilst holidaying in cancun. I visited with two friends last night who were equally as impressed with the food as I was. Peters wife greeted us with a huge welcome and smile showed us to our seats which were under the air con and very much appreciated having caught a little too much sun earlier In The day! Peter himself then came out and greeted us also asking if we had any queries about the menu/food. Had the Bouillabaisse to start which was bursting with flavour and fish! What a start to our meal.... wow!! On to the main course of shrimp fettuccine once again we had ordered a winner! My friend had the sautéed porcini chicken which the advised was amazing. Given that these two courses were so nice it wld have been rude not to have dessert. We finished of with praline parfait this was just delightful. All in all a great night and fabulous food. We were also lucky enough to meet their baby grandson! Peter and his wife celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary today. I hope they have an amazing day. The location of the restaurant is off the beaten track but a definite must for foodies to visit when in cancun. A family run restaurant down to earth feel and fabulous value for money!

 The best restaurant in Cancun
Peter's is definitely the best restaurant in Cancun, and one of the top restaurants I have enjoyed in my many years of traveling the world. Chef Peter comes from an excellent background of the executive chef for the Royal Resorts Chain and brings his culinary skills to his restaurant. Don't judge a book by its cover as the outside was not impressive. The inside is small and quaint and nicely decorated. One can actually have a conversation over dinner without having to yell at your party to be heard.As far as the food, fantastic. We could not decide what was the best as it all was extremely flavorful and well proportioned. We had the chicken pate, and the mushroom ravioli for starters Wow! The mains were hog fish ,amazing, and the veal rib was huge and melted in you mouth like butter. The sides tastefully prepared. Deserts were the chocolate banana crepes and the tequila key lime pie!!! One dish outdid the next.Peter's is a definite visit while in Cancun.

 Three fabulous experiences within 2 weeks.
You know that you love a restaurant when you return 3 times within two weeks! As my many reviews from year's past indicate, this is one of the top restaurants in Cancun for quality and the portion size. Peter never fails! The food is divine and the personal service starting with Marc Anthony and including Claudia, Eddie and the chef himself is a family affair.This year we ventured to some new dishes as well as my favorite Brisket with a Mayan kick and sauerkraut. The salmon was incredible (see photo) as was the veal (see photo). Peter's steaks are the best in Cancun. Claudia's salad is my favorite and the portion is enormous. Peter's home made parfait's are a delectable ending to a superb meal. If you are staying in the hotel zone get a taxi and head to Peter's, you won't regret it!!Can't wait until next year!

We expected perfection, as always...and were not disappointed! Our foursome all voted unanimously...BEST in CANCUN! Ours was a return visit and our guests enjoyed their first time at Peter's. The Hogfish was out-of-season (everywhere in Cancun) so we enjoyed the Grouper prepared in the same style. The bar-b-que-beef was unexpectedly delightful and tender, the smoked salmon was just the right level of smoke! The salads were as creative as always, 2 bottles of wine were perfect, key-lime pie as rich and decadent as ever. IF you are seeking dining perfection...and not one detail over-looked...make a reservation to enjoy the delights offered by Peter's family. Peter usually, briefly visits each table to meet and greet, his wife takes your orders and answers questions then helps make sure everyone and everything is comfortable...and their handsome son who helps and serves, seems destined to carry on the tradition of pleasing everyone who crosses the threshold of this quaint, comfortable, international venue.Don't miss the experience!

 A MUST IN CANCÚN! You Will Have Good Food!
The environment from the start is excellent! The service is super nice and friendly! And the food is absolutely amazing! We got to meet the friendly chief and I had the best soup in my life! This place made me and my friends' tough day so much better❤️地址不是很好找,在外面看上去很小,但是一进去酒震惊了。很温馨很干净的装饰,给人一种宾至如归的感觉。主厨亲自过来招呼我们跟我们确认食物怎么样,其他服务员服务超级热情!所有的东西分量都很足,价格也很公道。至于味道--真的只能用Amazing来形容!从法式乱炖到附赠的烤面包再到最后送的薄荷巧克力都非常的好吃!酱汁好吃到我和我的朋友甚至抢起了盘子上残余的酱汁。。这里真的是不能在坎昆错过的一个绝妙的餐厅!它把我们这一天改变得特别美妙!❤️我如果有机会绝对会再来!

 Fantastic place
My wife and I discovered this wonderful small restaurant last year on our annual trip to Cancun. This year we brought our three adult children and the two boys spouses down for a week. We went to Peter's on their last night. The restaurant has about 10 tables so our group of 7 took up their one large table. The food was phenomenal and the service excellent. My youngest son and I had the brisket with sour kraut (the chef Peter who came to our table twice is from The Neatherlands) so think of the dish as Dutch sauerbraten. It was great. My wife had a salad that she shared with our daughter because the portion was so large that they said was excellent. My wife had chicken breasts with a mushroom gravy that she loved - and so did I. Caution the serving for this dish, if you have2 light eaters is plenty for two. Our daughter had the hogfish that she really enjoyed. The other 3 had various dishes the all really enjoyed. This place is good for a group like us and just as good for a romantic dinner for two. I cannot emphasize you really good the food is. They also serve really good Mexican wine.

Every year we try several new restaurants, but always make sure to stop at Peter's. Every year, this is by far and away the best in Cancun. The others in the top 10...not even close. Peter personally take the order and cooks to your specification. The service is top notch and very personalized. This year, the power went out just as we were finishing up our main course. The staff handled it like true professionals. Try the Adobe Beef Brisket, it melts in your mouth. Save room for the Tequila Key Lime Pie, it is amazing! Make sure you make a reservation at least a couple weeks before heading to Cancun, they fill up fast!

 The best meal ever
Three of us went to Peter's Restaurant last night ... and it was the most fantastic experience. Even though it is located off the beaten path (we were in the south end of the ZH, it was SO worth the trip. The restaurant is warmly casual; we were greeted warmly by all the staff we encountered, and Peter came to our table to let us know the night's specials. My husband had steak, my vegetarian friend the sea bass, and well I...I totally lucked out (or is that in?)...the most amazing salmon I have ever had, the "smoked" salmon made to order. It was beyond wonderful. We all tasted it, and I have to say that I was the envy of the table - although everyone loved their meal. The Key Lime pay for dessert (split 3 ways) was sublime, probably the best we've ever tasted. The presentation was lovely, the service superb; we felt totally welcomed, and I wish we had gone sooner, so we could repeat the night! If you don't do anything else in Cancun, give Peter's Restaurant a try.

 Lovely meal
In amongst all of the brash American nature of Cancun, Peter's is a little European type of oasis from the commercialism of everywhere else. Lovely little place just into downtown Cancun which we managed to get a table on a Tuesday night without a reservation. All of the other reviews on TripAdvisor were correct, the food was great and reasonably priced and peter and his team were welcoming and informative. Lovely evening and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit more sophistication in Cancun.

 The perfect 10th anniversary dinner
We wanted somewhere to celebrate a huge milestone in our lives. Peter's seemed ideal from everything we could find ahead of time. We not only were not disappointed, but our expectations were surpassed.Food? I'll be dreaming of that rib eye with mushroom sauce for the rest of my life, I sorely want to copy the tequila-sorbet combo which accompanied my key lime pie, and my wife's chocolate mousse was perhaps the best I've ever seen or tasted. (Her tamarind ribs were excellent as well!)Service? Impeccable. A few minutes getting to know Peter while we dined, gracious and personable staff, and willing to engage with us at whatever level suited our mood or part of the meal - neither overly reclusive nor pushy.It was clean, with touches of imaginative decor hinting at Peter's heritage in the Netherlands. Classy, but not requiring formality on our part. Welcoming, warm, easy to find, and in every way a perfect experience.I just wish Peter's was closer to home!

 The best dinner in Mexico and our trip
We had an excellent dinner in group of 5! One starter, a salad and soup were ordered to share with us coz we wanted to try more different dishes! Each of us ordered our own main course with 2 bottles of wine and other drinks! Finally 2 desserts were ordered! Besides excellent food, the service was great too! And their chef, Peter being boss too, from Netherlands, asked us for the dinner! The restaurant decoration was graceful too! No matter a group of friends and even a couple , they can feel the wonderful atmosphere! Such an amazing meal costed us around $4500 peso in total! It really deserved!

 The best meal ever
Three of us went to Peter's Restaurant last night ... and it was the most fantastic experience. Even though it is located off the beaten path (we were in the south end of the ZH, it was SO worth the trip. The restaurant is warmly casual; we were greeted warmly by all the staff we encountered, and Peter came to our table to let us know the night's specials. My husband had steak, my vegetarian friend the sea bass, and well I...I totally lucked out (or is that in?)...the most amazing salmon I have ever had, the "smoked" salmon made to order. It was beyond wonderful. We all tasted it, and I have to say that I was the envy of the table - although everyone loved their meal. The Key Lime pay for dessert (split 3 ways) was sublime, probably the best we've ever tasted. The presentation was lovely, the service superb; we felt totally welcomed, and I wish we had gone sooner, so we could repeat the night! If you don't do anything else in Cancun, give Peter's Restaurant a try.

 Lovely meal
In amongst all of the brash American nature of Cancun, Peter's is a little European type of oasis from the commercialism of everywhere else. Lovely little place just into downtown Cancun which we managed to get a table on a Tuesday night without a reservation. All of the other reviews on TripAdvisor were correct, the food was great and reasonably priced and peter and his team were welcoming and informative. Lovely evening and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit more sophistication in Cancun.

 The perfect 10th anniversary dinner
We wanted somewhere to celebrate a huge milestone in our lives. Peter's seemed ideal from everything we could find ahead of time. We not only were not disappointed, but our expectations were surpassed.Food? I'll be dreaming of that rib eye with mushroom sauce for the rest of my life, I sorely want to copy the tequila-sorbet combo which accompanied my key lime pie, and my wife's chocolate mousse was perhaps the best I've ever seen or tasted. (Her tamarind ribs were excellent as well!)Service? Impeccable. A few minutes getting to know Peter while we dined, gracious and personable staff, and willing to engage with us at whatever level suited our mood or part of the meal - neither overly reclusive nor pushy.It was clean, with touches of imaginative decor hinting at Peter's heritage in the Netherlands. Classy, but not requiring formality on our part. Welcoming, warm, easy to find, and in every way a perfect experience.I just wish Peter's was closer to home!

 The best dinner in Mexico and our trip
We had an excellent dinner in group of 5! One starter, a salad and soup were ordered to share with us coz we wanted to try more different dishes! Each of us ordered our own main course with 2 bottles of wine and other drinks! Finally 2 desserts were ordered! Besides excellent food, the service was great too! And their chef, Peter being boss too, from Netherlands, asked us for the dinner! The restaurant decoration was graceful too! No matter a group of friends and even a couple , they can feel the wonderful atmosphere! Such an amazing meal costed us around $4500 peso in total! It really deserved!

La Bouillabaisse and Lemon Grass soups were delicious (La Bouillabaisse was nearly a meal itself) and our Rib Eye steak was cooked to perfection. Peter personally came out to our table to ensure we were delighted and then bid us farewell as we left. A true gem in Cancun!

Why eat at a chain restaurant when you can experience high quality food, impeccable service and enjoy fine dining at a locally owned establishment? Peter's Restaurant is a great example of such a place. Peter's is high-end without the high prices we're accustomed to overlooking while on vacation. The atmosphere inspires you slow down to enjoy every experience: Peter's soft voice and knowledgeable guidance through his thoughtful menu, the great background music you may not immediately appreciate but will and the genuinely gracious hospitality his family extends to each guest. You've heard others rave about the salmon with a lemon sauce or the pork loin on a delicious bed of seasoned mashed potatoes. I can only advise that you leave room for dessert. Learn from the table next to ours and go ahead, order three desserts for both of you! Whatever you do, cross your fingers there's still key lime pie left after your dinner. It's a full blown key lime concoction that along with scrumptious pie, includes melt in your mouth key lime sorbet covered with tequila in a tall, narrow shot glass. Everything is made fresh and from the freshest ingredients. You'll leave with a huge smile and plan your trip back to Cancun just so you can return to Peter's.

 Peters' a must in Cancun
A visit to Cancun is incomplete without at least one exquisite dining experience. In a city were gastronomy gives way to party-till-you-drop, just venture away from the hotel zone to a small quiet restaurant call Peters’. We took the R1 bus from the lower quieter side of the hotel zone into Cancun city. When the driver drove past the first monument, a key landmark getting to restaurant by bus, I suspected he might have passed it. After dropping us off at the next stop, we made the five-minute walked to Peters’.During the reservation process, I mentioned that the date was our wedding anniversary; which I later forgot that I had mentioned. Well, they did not. They were waiting for us. The maître d escorted us a small table laden with rose petals; a beautiful touch and omen for the meal to come. To start we had the ‘Claudia’ salad and the unforgettable coconut lemon-grass ginger soup. Both dishes were delicious, but we still talk about that soup today. After every slip, I imaged the glory of making this at home. For dinner, my wife had the smoke salmon. I had the boquinette (hogfish); which reminded me of monk fish. Regardless, both dishes were exquisite; every bite a different taste.For dessert, the key-lime pie was very tempting, however we settled on sharing the light and tasty chocolate and banana stuffed crepes. Good. Next time, we’ll definitely sample the pie.The evening was excellent in every capacity: service, ambiance, and food. Put Peters’ restaurant on your ‘to do’ list in Cancun, you’ll thank yourself for it.

This was by far the absolute best fine dining experience I have ever had the fortune to experience! A unique, intimate and comforting meal, all of the wonderful staff, including Peter and his lovely wife(who are the owners) made us feel like family! The cuisine was out of this world delicious and if you ever travel to Cancun, Peters is a MUST for perfection, service and nothing short of royal treatment!

 2nd visit in a week!
We are staying as a couple in Cancun, and got recommended Peters restaurant by people staying at our hotel. Food was fantastic and amazing service by all the staff, we ended up visiting the restaurant twice! Mushroom ravoli and sea bass starters are great, and had a selection of mains, salmon, duck, beef and pork! All of a high standard with potatoes and lots of veg. Portion sizes are good, but still managed to squeeze in banana and chocolate brownie with ice cream and spiced honey - absolutely delicious! Be sure to check this restaurant out if you are in Cancun! Great experience x

 Consistently great!
We've been to Peter's about 6 times in recent years and have never been disappointed. Peter and his family have created a real gem of a restaurant at the entrance to the Hotel Zone, only a short bus ride away (R1 or R2, 21 pesos each way per couple - only about $2!). We hadn't been there in about a year but Peter's son, Eder, recognized us as soon as we sat down and welcomed us back. Remarkable! The menu has changed little over the years (among a few new dishes is a shrimp stuffed chicken breast with a poblano chili sauce that I am eager to try someday) and for good reason; Peter has refined each one to perfection. Our dinner yesterday began with some of our favorites - the Puerto Cancun salad with sliced apples, toasted pumpkin seeds dressed with a light honey ginger vinaigrette, and a coconut/lemon grass/ginger soup. Both were delicious as usual. We always ask about the specials and I recommend ordering them if any appeal to you. Last night my wife had the duck breast special over homemade fettuccine with a raspberry sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked and it was a large portion, not just the 4-5 slices of duck you get in other places. I had the other special which was a thick veal chop with polenta and asparagus and a silky Madeira sauce. Again, perfectly cooked and wonderful. For dessert we each had a cappuccino and shared the chocolate and banana stuffed crepes. The crepes were actually an improvement over the first time we had them several years ago, with thicker slices of banana and a slightly heartier crepe to hold it all together. This friendly, family run restaurant has only 8 widely-spaced tables so reservations are a must. We can't wait to go back when we return to Cancun in the fall, when I can try that new shrimp stuffed chicken dish. Unless there are specials. I just may have to go twice...

 Amazingddress food, beautiful contemporary decor, immensely nice staff and chef.
We arrived early. Very early. About 430 pm for a 630 reservation. I knew Peters was not open till 6 but we took the city bus from the hotel zone and the day prior it took about 1.5 hours to get downtown sine we travelled during rush hour. So, we left earlier on this day hoping to beat the rush hour traffic and hundreds of hotel workers heading home from the hotel zone on the bus. It worked but we were WAY too early. There was a table outside of Peters so we sat down to watch the world go by as we waited. Before long a nice young man came out to advise us that they weren't open till 6pm. We told him the above story. He offers to get us a drink so as we waited we had a beer and enjoyed. They let us in the restaurant a bit at ally as well which was not expec ed but a very nice surprise. The restauran is smallish but very nicely appointed. Very clean and nice. Peter himself visited our table several times to address questions and to make sure we were enjoying our dinners. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!! I had sea bass over asparagus for an appetizer. An amazing blends of flavours. The main course was brisket which was fall-apart good. Another incredible dish served with sauerkraut which sounds odd but was WONDERFUL! My wife had a salad and Pork tenderloin neither of which she could stop raving about. I have never heard he say WOW so many times. We both feel this may have been our best dinner ever! Nice people, incredible recipes, attentive service and GREAT PRESENTATION. Wonderful.

 Never disappointing, always excellent
I was in Cancun for the weekend and two friends of mine were here for their very first time. Since I lived here they asked me to show them around. I didn't have much time so I took them to the best two places in Cancun. La Casa del Habano for mojitos & cuban cigars and to Peter's Restaurant for dinner. Between the 3 of us we had the Mariscos soup, the Lemon Grass soup, the Hogfish and the Salmon. Just incredible. My friends also had desert, I had a coffee. Chef Peter and his wife Claudia are always the warmest hosts.

 Great place, great food, great service. What else can I say?
We had heard about Peter's and unintentionally was walking by the place on Monday night and were able to get a table. I guess being the day after Easter people were not going out to dinner because Peter told us that generally he is booked solid a week in advance. We got lucky. We were created by Peter at the door and he showed us to a table and explained the menu options. After a glass of wine we decided to order the Pate of Chicken & House Smoked Turkey Breast (fantastic) and the Puerto Cancun salad (also very good.) For entrees we had the Sauteed Porcini Chicken Breast (fantastic) and Adobe Beef Brisket which was so tender you did not need a knife to cut it. It just fell apart. We finished the meal with the Mousse Au Chocolate which just about put us overboard in gustatory stimulation. It was nothing short of a fantastic meal and I am highly confident this will be come one of our regular places to go for a fantastic meal. Some might think the prices are a bit high but this is high quality and compared to prices for similar high quality meals in major US cities, the prices were seriously discounted. Best advice to you is to make a reservation a week or so in advance or you won't get in.

 The real deal
I am so happy I followed my brother in law’s advice and decided to come to this hidden jewel in Cancún. The place is a cosy seven tables restaurant with an informal yet elegant setting. The menu is an eclectic smorgasbord of culinary options from different places. Swedish grav lax, French bouillabaisse and foie, tropical flavours such as tamarind and ginger all mixed in what for me is one of the most creative menus I have seen in Cancún. Since we were a large group I had the opportunity to taste different dishes and everything was just perfect. The tamarind ribs, beautifully spicy and melting in the mouth; the brisket, rich flavour in a super tender meat, I didn’t try the fish (since I am allergic) but the comments about it were more than favourable. For dessert we had a spicy pear with strong cheese and black pepper, just beautiful. Even better we pay around 200 dollars among the six of us and we even had wine. I am so coming back next year.

 Best Restaurant Anywhere!
We have been coming here for the past 6 years. During our recent vacation we went 3 times for dinner. It keeps getting better. Peter and his wife and Son make this place. It is small and intimate so make reservations and you can call and everyone speaks English. Peter and his family great you and Peter comes to the table to go over specials and to take the order or any questions. He checks on you during the meal as well to see how you like the meal. The quality of the food and meals is excellent and English is very well spoken if you are concerned about not speaking Spanish being off the hotel zone. The mushroom raviolis were awesome and I had the best veal chop I have ever had in my life!! He is a gifted chef. Service was impeccable and it is very nice to see a family working together and giving the best they can to you. This is why we return and eat here frequently when in Cancun. The meals, appetizers, salads, and desserts were excellent even the coffee/cappuccino were excellent. My wife and I highly recommend Peter's to anyone and we wish we had to equivalent back home. It is easy to get to the restaurant and all the cab drivers know where it is. Getting back to the hotel is easy as well as there is cab service outside at most of the time and if not they will get one for you. All the cab drivers who took us there left us their card and the staff will call the driver to come get you. I don't think you can get any better food nor service anywhere. Would recommend reservations given the small size of restaurant. The place is a gem!!

 Perfection
We visited on 4th November for my girlfriends birthday and were blown away by the quality of food here. Trip Advisor must be great for resterants like this as it isn't the easiest to find. We had 3 delicious courses of perfection along with 2 bottles of wine and it was very reasonably priced. The service is impeccable and Peter himself comes out of the kitchen to chat with you during the night. Definitely recommend this place for everyone visiting Cancun

 Always a Winner
Peter’s is on our top list of “must go” each year that we go to Cancun. The food and hospitality can’t be beat. Peter, owner-host-chief, always is on hand to greet his guests and take a personal interest in your menu selections. Claudia, his wife, also goes out of her way to make your visit enjoyable. The food is freshly and excellently prepared. A creative menu. This is a very small restaurant so reservations are a must.

Peters restaurant ist a small and inviting restaurant near the Cancun Hotel area where the chef himself takes his time to talk to the guests. We had the pork tenderloin and the hogfish and both were very delicious. The final was the Tequila sunrise key lime pie which was also very very good.If you only have stay one night in Cancun, Peters restaurant is were you have to dine. Table reservation is necessary.

Booked a meal at the restaurant as it was 3 years ago since we were last in Cancun and went to this place. Still a highly recommended place if you are looking for good guality food, great selection, very nice flavours and priced reasonably for what you get. Small place so recommend reserving a spot depending on when you are in Cancun. We ended up sharing a salad as they are of good size, chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, salmon with lemon sauce and just barely had room for a key lime pie with tequila sherbet shooter. Nice bottle of wine to enjoy the evening and our bill was 1500 pesos plus tip.

I am so happy I followed my brother in law’s advice and decided to come to this hidden jewel in Cancún. The place is a cosy seven tables restaurant with an informal yet elegant setting. The menu is an eclectic smorgasbord of culinary options from different places. Swedish grav lax, French bouillabaisse and foie, tropical flavours such as tamarind and ginger all mixed in what for me is one of the most creative menus I have seen in Cancún. Since we were a large group I had the opportunity to taste different dishes and everything was just perfect. The tamarind ribs, beautifully spicy and melting in the mouth; the brisket, rich flavour in a super tender meat, I didn’t try the fish (since I am allergic) but the comments about it were more than favourable. For dessert we had a spicy pear with strong cheese and black pepper, just beautiful. Even better we pay around 200 dollars among the six of us and we even had wine. I am so coming back next year.

 Best Restaurant Anywhere!
We have been coming here for the past 6 years. During our recent vacation we went 3 times for dinner. It keeps getting better. Peter and his wife and Son make this place. It is small and intimate so make reservations and you can call and everyone speaks English. Peter and his family great you and Peter comes to the table to go over specials and to take the order or any questions. He checks on you during the meal as well to see how you like the meal. The quality of the food and meals is excellent and English is very well spoken if you are concerned about not speaking Spanish being off the hotel zone. The mushroom raviolis were awesome and I had the best veal chop I have ever had in my life!! He is a gifted chef. Service was impeccable and it is very nice to see a family working together and giving the best they can to you. This is why we return and eat here frequently when in Cancun. The meals, appetizers, salads, and desserts were excellent even the coffee/cappuccino were excellent. My wife and I highly recommend Peter's to anyone and we wish we had to equivalent back home. It is easy to get to the restaurant and all the cab drivers know where it is. Getting back to the hotel is easy as well as there is cab service outside at most of the time and if not they will get one for you. All the cab drivers who took us there left us their card and the staff will call the driver to come get you. I don't think you can get any better food nor service anywhere. Would recommend reservations given the small size of restaurant. The place is a gem!!

 Perfection
We visited on 4th November for my girlfriends birthday and were blown away by the quality of food here. Trip Advisor must be great for resterants like this as it isn't the easiest to find. We had 3 delicious courses of perfection along with 2 bottles of wine and it was very reasonably priced. The service is impeccable and Peter himself comes out of the kitchen to chat with you during the night. Definitely recommend this place for everyone visiting Cancun

 Always a Winner
Peter’s is on our top list of “must go” each year that we go to Cancun. The food and hospitality can’t be beat. Peter, owner-host-chief, always is on hand to greet his guests and take a personal interest in your menu selections. Claudia, his wife, also goes out of her way to make your visit enjoyable. The food is freshly and excellently prepared. A creative menu. This is a very small restaurant so reservations are a must.

 One of the best
Peters restaurant ist a small and inviting restaurant near the Cancun Hotel area where the chef himself takes his time to talk to the guests. We had the pork tenderloin and the hogfish and both were very delicious. The final was the Tequila sunrise key lime pie which was also very very good.If you only have stay one night in Cancun, Peters restaurant is were you have to dine. Table reservation is necessary.

Booked a meal at the restaurant as it was 3 years ago since we were last in Cancun and went to this place. Still a highly recommended place if you are looking for good guality food, great selection, very nice flavours and priced reasonably for what you get. Small place so recommend reserving a spot depending on when you are in Cancun. We ended up sharing a salad as they are of good size, chicken breast stuffed with shrimp, salmon with lemon sauce and just barely had room for a key lime pie with tequila sherbet shooter. Nice bottle of wine to enjoy the evening and our bill was 1500 pesos plus tip.

 Beyond expectations!
I have reviewed Peter's many times over the past several years and this review is based on two visits in the last two weeks. The food is always excellent - at these visits we had shrimp-stuffed chicken breast, salads, a delicious veal chop, sautéed hogfish, fabulous crepes stuffed with chocolate and sliced bananas. However, this review is more about Peter and his family who work together in the restaurant. Six of us went there last night in a pouring rainstorm. My wife and I walked from the bus stop with our umbrellas and, even though it's a short walk, the rain was coming down extraordinarily hard and the roads were like rivers. There was no way to stay dry and so we arrived absolutely soaked. Peter's wife, Claudia, immediately gave us towels and dry shirts and took our wet ones into the kitchen to hang up in an attempt to get them to dry a little. The others in our group were stuck at the bus stop without umbrellas and no cabs were around. Peter's son, Eddie, actually drove there to rescue them and bring them to the restaurant. Even so, everyone was wet and soon more dry shirts and towels materialized as they mopped up the now wet tile floor around us. We had a terrific dinner as we laughed at our adventures and then, because it was still raining, Claudia called a friend who has a van and he fought the elements and traffic to pick us up and take us back to our resort. Peter and his family showed us such caring and compassion that we would go back to support the restaurant even if the food wasn't good. But in Peter's Restaurante we have the best of both worlds - a lovely family running a restaurant with spectacular food. Thank you again to Peter, Claudia and Eddie! Peter's is a real treasure in Cancun.

Found this restaurant on trip advisor whilst searching for fine dining close to the hotel we were staying at. From walking through the door we were made to feel welcome. Food was cooked to perfection and for the first time while we'd been in Cancun decided we had to have a pudding I am so glad we did as the key lime pie was amazing. Would highly recommend this place to everyone.

 Still the Best!!!
We enjoyed our annual return visit to Peter's as much if not more than our first visit. We had family with us who had not dined there before and truly believed this restaurant to be one of the best in all of their dining experiences anywhere! Once again the brisket with sauerkraut was truly delicious as was the seafood and homemade pasta dish. The salmon was well prepared and it was truly a joy when Peter, the chef/owner, came by to discuss our meal selections and welcome us back. The service was efficient and friendly and Peter's wife is the consummate hostess. Although Peter's Restaurant is not in the hotel zone it is an easy inexpensive taxi ride and well worth the trip. Peter's is situated outside the Zona Hotelera in Cancun. It is an excellent excuse to drive a bit further from the Hotel Restaurants for a quiet and welcoming small ambient where you can have a great dinner. The menu is delicious and very creative, also with good options based on the Mexican cousine with a flair. We ordered the Fois Gras Terrine which was amazing. Then raviólis rellenos and tortillas azules con camarones. All delicious. For desert, a spiced poached pear with Camembert, divine. Service is impeccable and Peter himself comes to the table to check if all is well. The best of Mexican's warm welcome with a gourmet touch of an excellent Dutch chef. We definitely recommend it.

Peter's is an incredible dining experience. It's a little hard to find but well worth it. We've been here in the past and after this past dinner, we plan to come twice during our week in Cancun. It's small so definitely make reservations! We relaxed and browsed the menu while enjoying a glass of wine. There's a full bar here. Then I started my meal with the Claudia salad and every single bite was just bursting with great flavor. It had a creamy blue cheese in it that was so good! My husband had the chicken lemon grass ginger soup and couldn't say enough about it. I tasted it and it was delicious! For dinner we both had the special that evening - veal chops. My mouth still waters just thinking about it. It was cooked perfectly and so tender! And they were big chops! It was served with vegetables and a risotto that was also perfectly cooked. For dessert, I couldn't resist the key lime pie. I don't know how he makes it but it is sublime! (haha) Peter always comes to the table to see if there are any questions about the menu, the preparation, or the food. Most places don't do this and it is so nice! I always look forward to going to Peter's and like I said, next year we'll be there twice!

The food is amazing, peter greeted us at our table and spent time talking to us.my partner and i both had the mushroom ravioli and my pertner had the cowboy steak, which he claimed was the best steak he had ever eaten.the staff were very friendly and attentive, lovely little resturant and well wirth leaving your hotel for a night.just wish we would of had more time to go again during our visit to cancun.

 Best Meal of the Trip
Get reservations well in advance. This is a very small restaurant which seats ~20. It is a family business. Peter (Dutch) and his wife Claudia (Mexican) are the primary chefs, and our waiter was their son Eddie, who I guess is in his mid 20's. It is a very personable group and they work very hard to ensure you have an exceptional experience.I recommend the Claudia salad and the mushroom ravioli as appetisers. All the main courses are spectacular. Dinner for 4 was about $250 including drinks, appetisers and desserts. A similar meal in the US would be at least $100 more.I also recommend the bloody mary and margaritas. Very skilled mixologist.

 Lovely meal!
This is a small, cozy restaurant in town. The meal was wonderful as was the service. We had the mushroom ravioli appetizer as well as the coconut lime soup - wonderful. The tamarind glazed pork ribs were spectacular, and even came with a finger bowl to clean your hands after eating! The sea bass with polenta was nice, but not out of the ordinary. All in all an excellent meal with wonderful hosts. Well worth a visit.
