We stayed at the Fiesta Americana Condesa for a week, and visited every one of the restaurants onsite. This was the only restaurant that we went to twice!Omar served us both nights, and blew us away. Even though we were staying with an all-inclusive package, we paid to upgrade our wine to try one that we did not know (the house wine was good, but we wanted to try something else). Little did we know that with the purchase of a bottle of wine, they also created a complimentary dessert by our table. This ended up being a flaming bananas foster-style dessert, but with strawberries and raspberries instead. The showmanship and quality of service was spectacular, and made us go there the next night, our last night on the resort. We had told Omar that we would probably come back, and then ran into him in the hotel lobby the next afternoon and told him the time we expected to be there. He reserved a table for us - one dimly lit, and covered in rose petals. Instead of the flaming dessert this time (which he offered), they provided a sampler of desserts on a decorated platter. While I've spoken about the service, I should mention that the food is pretty good as well. The dishes we had over two nights included appetizers of portobello mushrooms, beef carpaccio, and caprese salad. Our entrees included shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, chicken Parmesan (I know, but it was great!), and seafood lasagna. We will definitely return to this hotel, and will visit Rosato early in our next trip!
